Marcel Knotter | Partner
Marcel Knotter (1965) has 16 years of experience as management consultant. Before he teamed up with Ruurd Baane and Patrick Houtkamp to establish Bright & Company, he worked for KPMG Consulting where he was responsible for services in the area of Human Resources Management, Change Management and Organisational Learning. Marcel has worked as a consultant in the Netherlands, the United States, China and Indonesia. In this capacity he has advised more than 50 organisations on how Human Resources Management can make a genuine contribution to an organisation's ambitions. Marcel Knotter has become a familiar and high-profile figure in the world of HR. Much in demand and highly successful as a speaker at conferences, seminars and training courses, his name is synonymous with a refreshing, unorthodox approach to HR issues. In August 2007 he was selected one of the 25 best management speakers by Management Team Magazine. What's more, Marcel is a fervent polar explorer. In 2002, together with his expedition partner, he became the first Dutchman to reach the magnetic North Pole by his own efforts alone after a journey of 700 kilometres over the polar ice.

Patrick Houtkamp | Partner
Patrick Houtkamp (1967) has more than 13 years of consultancy experience with complex HR issues at a wide range of organisations. As well as HR strategy development, his main focus is on setting up and managing HR functions, HR Shared Service Centers and Outsourcing of HR tasks. He has advised more than 40 organisations in the profit and non-profit sector. Patrick studied economics and sociology and before setting up Bright & Company worked as consultant at KPMG Consulting in the area of strategy development and optimisation of Human Resources Management. Before that he worked as HR consultant for Align Consulting and was partner and consultant with an independent firm of consultants. Patrick is an enthusiastic long-distance runner and regularly participates in marathons.

Ruurd Baane | Partner
Ruurd Baane (1974) has 11 years of consultancy experience and has assisted more than 35 national and international organisations on Human Resources Management, Change Management and Organisational Learning. Typical of his working method is a sharp analytical insight and the ability to come up with sound solutions fast. Ruurd studied business management and political sciences and before setting up Bright & Company he worked for KPMG Consulting. Ruurd has also worked as interim HR professional. His areas of expertise are optimising the HR function, HR Performance Management and Performance and Competence Management. Ruurd is an enthusiastic sportsman and passionate traveller, and particularly enjoys travelling around the African continent with his rucksack.

Richard Jongenotter | Partner
Richard Jongenotter (1971) is working more than 18 years as a management consultant. He studied business and did a master psychoanalysis. He started his career at KPMG Consulting. At Atos (KPMG) Consulting he was responsible for the Finance and People & Change groups. Richard advised a large number of public and private organizations on the translation of their organizational objectives to the organizational structure and governance, and above all to create a context in which the people within the organization go in the desired movement of the organization. He advises and supports HR functions in taking a strategic role in this change. Human Development, exploring his talents in relation to the ambitions of the organization are the starting point. Here a rational and relational approach integrates. Besides advisor Richard sought after as a facilitator of individual and group processes. An important source of inspiration for Richard is to travel in the African continent.
